Shiraz was out twice this week, once for a twilight event on Wednesday and then again on Saturday. We had planned to conduct some man overboard drills on the Saturday session to take advantage of the the lower wind conditions, but on getting out in the river the wind picked up and we ended up doing some tacking and jibing practice instead. Maybe next time for man overboard.

have attached a few photos from a twilight sail from Wednesday, where we took Shiraz out in a convoy with two other yachts in support of a sponsor event. Transdev (who run all our public buses), recently provided us a significant financial donation, which will be invaluable as we seek a second boat for the club. In appreciation of the donation, we offered to take a group out for a sail, and 15 drivers joined us.
Three were on Shiraz and as you can see from the photo they enjoyed the experience. The conditions were mild, making for very comfortable sailing, and the sunset was spectacular.
